About / SF / US and Cebu

A designer’s eye.
A builder’s hands.

I’m Jerel. I build AI products, lead teams, and help people find their way into new technology. The thread through all of it is a curiosity about how people work.

It started with the person using the product.

UX design taught me to pay attention: to the question behind a request, the moment a workflow breaks down, and the small decisions that earn someone’s trust.

At Full Scale Ventures, I worked across products and learned to turn uncertain ideas into something people could use. Product leadership at GoTeam brought a different challenge: helping multidisciplinary teams make good decisions together.

That path led to applied AI. Today, I’m a Staff Applied AI Engineer at CopilotKit, working on generative interfaces and agent infrastructure. I’m also the founder of Folderbase and Chalk, exploring how humans and agents can work together with shared context, clear boundaries, and useful feedback.

One connected practice.

Design, product, and engineering each changed how I approach the next problem.

  1. 01

    UX design

Started with the person on the other side of the interface: their context, decisions, friction, and trust.

  2. 02

    Venture studio

Built across products at Full Scale Ventures, learning to move from ambiguity to evidence without losing the user.

  3. 03

    Product leadership

Led large multidisciplinary teams at GoTeam and learned how product judgment scales through people and operating systems.

  4. 04

    Applied AI

Now a Staff AI Engineer at CopilotKit and founder of Folderbase.ai, building the systems behind AI-native experiences.

Learning is better with people.

Cebu is home. Through the AI Cebu community, I bring people together to try tools, share what they’re building, and ask better questions about AI.

That community work carries into my workshops and talks: make the ideas concrete, give people room to experiment, and leave them with something they can use.
